Our lawyers were part of the core team that developed the Remote Area Power Supply Systems (RAPSS) in Bangladesh as member of the IIFC team that had been engaged in promoting Remote Area Power Supply Systems (RAPSS) with private sector initiatives. IIFC was engaged by Power Division to prepare pre-feasibility reports for each RAPSS area, pre qualify potential investors, prepare bidding documents and contract documents and prepare draft policy on RAPSS and RAPSS Fund Paper. Then RAPSS policy was approved by the government in March 2007.
Drafted all agreements for the RAPSS projects.
Shirajganj 450 MW Power Project: Advised client on the power sector regulatory framework and statutory compliance issues in Bangladesh; reviewed of the Agreements (Power Purchase Agreement, Implementation Agreement, Gas Supply Agreement, and Land lease Agreement), Invitation for Tender and prepare any other additional agreements.
